October Special: Horror Movies

Note: I am posting one day early this time because I might be too busy to check in for the next days. I will answer your comments until Tuesday, September 30.

October, a favorite time of year for so many of you. And not just because it brings fall with its colorful leaves, but also because the most spooky time of the year begins.

As every year, FFFC presents you various movies filed under "horror" on IMDB. The synopses of the movies range from alligators to zombies, from archaeologists to zoologists, from the Antarctic Circle to Zugarramurdi.

One or more of these movies/synopses will hopefully inspire your own work in October. Whether you ultimately draw this inspiration from the synopsis, title, poster, trailer, or movie itself is entirely up to you. You may make reasonable changes, such as changing the number of characters and/or their gender, interpret the"giant mollusk monster" as Cthulhu, and so forth.

Remember that your work does not have to be creepy or horrifying at all but can be anything your heart desires.

For this challenge, the movies/synopses are sorted into nine categories by what they emphasize most, but there is a broader spectrum than you might think, and often the categories cross into other territories.
